Everyone's teeth fall out in childhood and old age, but not good news for those whose teeth begin to fall out in middle age.  Losing two or more teeth in middle age is a sign that you are at risk of heart disease, scientists say.

The study was performed on more than 61,000 people between the ages of 45 and 69, and based on the study, scientists say people who lose their teeth in middle age have a higher risk of heart disease than others.  By the time you reach puberty, you have 32 teeth in your mouth, but people with 25 to 30 teeth had a 25 percent higher risk of heart disease.

According to Mail Online, scientists have concluded from this research that even if the general health is good and the diet is good, still the loss of teeth in middle age is a sign of heart health problems.  Those who lost only one tooth in middle age did not have a higher risk of heart disease than others.  Researchers say that tooth loss increases the risk of infection in the mouth and later the germs of this infection reach the blood vessels and cause inflammation in them which causes heart disease.
